ideas and obsessions
This Totoro (based on a Miyasaki drawing) was made by Did, from Spirit Tattoo (Rennes, France) last december. He’s the beginning of a growing plant who’ll be on my arm. He represents so many to me, and above all, the perfect symbol for nature and my own childhood.
Totoro done by Jenny “Bunny Bunns” Young at Timeless Tattoo in Atlanta (awesome talent!)
He is the second Miyazaki related piece I have and the second in a series that will one day be a half sleeve of Miyazaki art.
This was my first and is still my favorite tattoo. Grow until the end of life. Done at Windy City Ink.
This is my third tattoo. It’s Aslan from The Chronicles of Narnia. There are a lot of reasons I chose this tattoo, but this is the reason I got it on my left side:
At last they were going in single file along the edge of the precipice and Shasta shuddered to think that he had done the same last night without knowing it. “But of course, he thought, “I was quite safe. That is why the lion kept on my left. He was between me and the edge all the time.”

I love C.S. Lewis. And also Big Brain, Omaha.
